The thesis explores the role of photography in documenting and interpreting the transformation of modernist neighbourhoods in Ljubljana. These areas, designed with socialist ideals, have deteriorated over time and lost their original image and quality of living. Through a series of photographs, I document how these environments have changed and show the social and architectural consequences of neglect. I believe that photography not only preserves the visual history of these spaces, but also stimulates discourse about their cultural and social significance today.
